Most engagements start within 1–2 weeks. For urgent advisory work, often within days. For embedded contracting, the kickoff usually waits on contracts and access provisioning more than on my calendar.

What’s a typical engagement size?

Advisory: 4–8 hours/month, ongoing. Consulting: 2–6 week focused engagements with a defined deliverable. Contracting: 3–6 months embedded part-time with your team. I tailor scope to the actual problem, not to a price sheet.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, mutual NDAs are standard before discussing specifics. I prefer to start with a no-obligation 20-minute call to scope whether we’re a fit before paperwork.

Are you available for fixed-scope work?

For well-defined problems, yes — architecture reviews, technical due diligence, AI readiness assessments, and discrete proof-of-concept builds. For open-ended discovery, time-and-materials with weekly check-ins works better.

Do you work directly or through an agency?

Direct. You work with me, not a delivery team. For implementation that exceeds my bandwidth, I bring in a small network of trusted senior engineers under my coordination.
